Colorado MUFON welcomes award-winning documentarian Dean Alioto for a special presentation examining alien abduction, experiencer testimony, and the enduring mystery of alleged contact with non-human intelligence.
Alioto has produced numerous television specials for A+E, Bravo, and FOX and served as a consultant on James Fox’s acclaimed UFO documentary The Phenomenon. He was also featured in the Paramount+ documentary Unknown Dimension: The Story of Paranormal Activity, which explored his pioneering role as the creator of The McPherson Tape—widely recognized as the first found-footage movie—and the enigmatic television film Alien Abduction: Incident in Lake County.
For this Colorado MUFON event, Alioto will present The Experiencers: Full Disclosure, an ambitious documentary project eight years in the making that investigates the complex and controversial subject of alien abduction.
The film turns its attention toward the individuals at the center of the phenomenon: people who report extraordinary encounters, missing time, unusual memories, and experiences that can profoundly affect the course of their lives. Rather than approaching these accounts only as distant stories or cultural mythology, The Experiencers: Full Disclosure places the testimony and personal consequences of alleged contact at the forefront.
Drawing upon years of interviews, research, and filmmaking, Alioto’s presentation will offer a rare look at how these accounts are documented, how witnesses attempt to understand what happened to them, and why the subject of alien abduction remains one of the most challenging areas of UFO research.
The evening may raise questions that continue to confront researchers and experiencers alike:
What patterns appear across reported encounters? Why do so many accounts involve missing time, fragmented memories, or deeply transformative effects? How should investigators evaluate testimony involving events that may resist conventional explanation? And what might these experiences suggest about the nature and possible intentions of non-human intelligence?
Alioto brings a distinctive perspective to these questions. His career has moved between fictional portrayals of UFO encounters and documentary investigation, giving him unusual insight into the relationship between firsthand testimony, public belief, popular culture, and the ways extraordinary events are presented through film and television.
