Many of us in the UFO/UAP community have been watching the recent push from military whistle blowers and retired government and industry officials with great interest. They appear to be actively pressing the secret-keepers to come clean and finally let the public in on whatever the big secret is. And yet, for all the talk, tangible disclosure seems perpetually just over the horizon. Perhaps there’s too much at stake – for the planet, for their ultra-big-budget contracts, or maybe for both.
This top-down push for disclosure feels like nailing gelatin to a tree. Perhaps it’s time for a revamp of disclosure efforts to approach it from the bottom up, a proactive effort towards disclosure that can start with proactive investigations of the UFO/UAP phenomenon. Here are four ways we can get started.
1. Multiple Independent Witnesses
Often, a UFO sighting is reported by a single witness. There are many reasons why such a sighting typically doesn’t carry a lot of weight. But if two independent witnesses see and report the same thing, the credibility and reliability of the reported details goes way up. With three or more witnesses, the credibility zooms.
2. Multiple Camera Recordings
A single-witness video or still photograph of a strange object in the sky is notoriously difficult to analyze, especially if a poor quality smart phone camera was in use, or if the object is unlike anything “normal” in appearance, as is often the case with UFO/UAP objects. But if two videos are taken from two locations, there’s a good chance that verifiable science-based data, that until now has proven to be elusive, can be acquired. An object’s size, distance, altitude, velocity, and acceleration can often be calculated if caught from two directions, even if the object is just a point source of light.
3. No Fly Zone
Satellites cannot orbit below about 100 miles. All known conventional aircraft of all types, as well as balloons, cannot fly higher than about 20 miles. The only things that do quickly go through this altitude zone are rocks (meteors) and rockets. If a “satellite” can mathematically be proven to be flying in this zone, then it sure can’t be summarily dismissed.
If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, MUFON investigators know they have no business claiming it is anything more than a duck. Similarly, any dot of light traversing the night sky at a steady pace and on a straight-line path must be dismissed as no more than a satellite. But what if we are missing out on detecting some UFO’s in this very empty and safe no-man’s zone as they move around the planet?
4. Communication in Kind
An off-the-wall concept that appears to be a real thing is what we call “Communication in Kind”. Research into thousands of UFO sightings throughout history reveals many instances of UFOs responding to flashing headlights and flashlights with similar flashes back. Correlation is not necessarily causation, but even just thinking about UFOs often results in a sighting right away. CE5, or close encounters of the 5th kind, efforts at emotional and mental signaling often results in a similar level of replies.
What We Can Do
The big question is how in the world do we use these out-of-this-world concepts to proactively pursue better science-based results that can eventually lead to citizen-powered disclosure? This is what the new UFO-Track project is all about!
Let’s start with UFO-Track’s mission statement: “UFO-Track’s mission is to develop a real-time rapid-response network that can turn isolated anomalous sightings into verified events using the power of technology and teamwork” Read on to find out exactly how UFO-Track is creating a real-time alert system, based on a network of people and devices, and how that can help MUFON’s after-the-fact in-depth investigations.
1. The People Network: When an event is reported, either by a human or the automated UFO-Sense device, the system automatically notifies all UFO-Track members within a 50-mile radius. This alert can get trained observers out of the house and gathering data in real-time, drastically increasing the chances of getting the multiple witness and camera recordings as described above.
2. The Hardware Network: To augment human observation, UFO-Track invented a new detector called UFO-Sense. This is an electronic device designed to constantly monitor for subtle changes in the local magnetic or gravity fields. This device goes beyond the passive nature of other such devices by connecting through a members home Wi-Fi system to instantly alert other members within a 50 mile radius as the detected event unfolds in real-time.
3. Communication in kind: UFO-Track has also invented a device called UFO-CQ, comprised of ultra-bright LEDs that repeatedly flashes Morse Code messages into the night sky. This device is controlled from an app on the user’s phone, allowing real-time changes to the messages. Anecdotal results to date have been amazing.
UFO-Track and MUFON
UFO-Track is all about a real-time alert system. MUFON and other scientific investigation organizations are based on after-the-fact analysis. These two approaches are cooperative in nature, and UFO-Track has the goal of enhancing the quality and quantity of reportable sighting events for MUFON to follow up with for their in-depth science-based studies.
Together, as a proactive citizen-driven real-time network, and a top-notch investigative organization based on science, our progress towards understanding the UFO/UAP phenomena can break out of the frustratingly slow, but steady, progress of the past few decades.
We can do this!
